So you’ve heard the term Smart Home, but you have no idea what it exactly means. Every home could be one, and it’s actually something maybe you’ve already started if you own an Amazon Alexa, or a Google Nest.


Basically a Smart Home is one that has smart appliances and fixtures.

Why are they smart? Because they’re able to communicate through internet connection with other appliances and even with you through your phone. One thing to keep in mind is not to let the term scare you because you’re not a tech savvy.


So what does this things do?

Nowadays we find a lot of options for Smart Homes Devices; you can control your house temperature when you’re 30 minutes away, you can see who’s ringing at your door while you're away in Europe or at work, you can program your coffee machine to start making coffee before you even wake up and more.






Okay, but are they worth it?


For many people, the driving force

behind creating a smart home is the potential to save energy and money with automated heating and air conditioning systems. Smart thermostats, such as those made by Alphabet’s subsidiary Nest, quickly and precisely automate the heating and cooling of a home.
